SELBOURNE STRIKES GOLD WITH YELLO - 29th April 2008

Selbourne Homes has struck gold at Yello - its latest contemporary development in New Rowley Road, Dudley.

Feedback from visitors to the scheme's recently opened two-bedroom show apartment has been overwhelmingly positive and new sales consultant Gail Birch (pictured on the left) is confident it's down to the great build quality and stylish finish. "Buyers want to feel they're getting maximum value for money and at Yello, it's easy to see no expense has been spared.

"Every property comes with a sleek, fully fitted open plan kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and an integrated washer/dryer. We've also opted for high quality white bathroom suites with chrome fittings and buyers can choose from a stylish range of ceramic tiles to complete the look."

Indeed, style is paramount at the new show apartment. "We wanted to create a real impact, which is why our designers chose to mix hot pink accent walls with bold murals and white cubist furniture," explains Gail.

"Our show apartment demonstrates how a few carefully chosen accessories and colours can add extra flare to what's already a lovely home and our aim is to inspire and excite prospective buyers."

Close to major amenities including restaurants, parkland and shoppers' paradise Merry Hill, Yello has been designed to appeal primarily to first time buyers and young families. Several of the 24 one and two-bedroom apartments offer walk out balconies and each property has allocated parking.

Prices for a one-bedroom apartment start from just £100,000 and for a limited period, Selbourne is also incentivising first time buyers by offering to pay five per cent towards the deposit.

The show apartment is open from Thursday to Monday (10am - 5pm). For details or viewings contact the sales office on 01384 459637.

CRADLEY PRINT WORKS POISED FOR CONTEMPORARY REGENERATION - 14th April 2008

The former works of what was the Black Country's largest printer, Cradley Print, could be transformed into contemporary homes and a major new retail outlet if plans submitted by two developers are given the green light.

Award winning property developer Selbourne Homes has applied for permission to build 47 new houses on part of the four-acre plot on Chester Road, Cradley Heath, which has remained redundant since Cradley Print closed two years ago.

Additionally, leading supermarket chain Lidl is applying for permission to build a new store on the site, fronting onto Lower High Street and covering an area of 1.5 acres. Both schemes will provide a significant economic boost for the area, regenerating a run-down brownfield site and creating new job opportunities.

"These applications will breathe life back into this well known site and our aim is to reposition it as a central part of the community," said Gavin Warr, managing director of Selbourne Homes. "In partnership with our architects, we've come up with a residential scheme that not only fits in with the surrounding environment, but also enhances it.

"Traditional red brick exteriors have been cleverly combined with cutting edge interiors featuring some of the latest design trends and we're confident our scheme will appeal to prospective buyers and councillors alike."

Designed primarily to appeal to families, Selbourne's stylish scheme will be a mix of two-bedroom terraces, three-bedroom semis and three- and four-bedroom detached homes. Every property will have a good size garden, plus ample parking and the emphasis will be on relaxed urban living.

The site's proximity to a range of retail and leisure opportunities is another added bonus and with public transport easily accessible, it's an ideal location for Birmingham commuters looking to avoid a hefty city centre price tag.

Prices are expected to range from £120,000 to £220,000. For more information on this development contact Selbourne Homes on 01562 888161
